To undertake early Detection, Preventive Treatment, and Curative Treatment for FREE, and to Create Awareness of Foot Problems in Diabetics, thereby Preventing the Amputation of Feet.
Provides medical equipment, treatment, screening camps and public awareness to promote the early detection and treatment of diabetic foot problems to prevent amputation in cooperation with Mowthi Nursing Home in Coimbatore, India

Diabetic Situation in India
10.5% prevalence of diabetes in adults
15–25% of patients with diabetes develop foot ulcer
Diabetic foot ulcer: Main cause of more than half of non-traumatic lower limb amputations. Diabetic limb Amputation Rate in India 15% Global rate 2.5%. It is a huge economic burden which exceeds around $7600 Dollars annual cost for each patient.

Save Limbs proved that Amputation is very much preventable provided there is a structured approach like Screening of Diabetic patients, creating proper awareness to patients, early identification of foot problems, proper intervention at various stages of foot problems, proper training of the health care professionals.

Affected 4,151 (47.03%)
Amputation Among the affected 4,151 only 4 underwent major lower limb amputation which is 0.09%. This is far less compared to the international amputation rate which range from 2% to around 47%
Treated 296 (Each $7600 worth treatment up to 3 months as in-patient or out-patient including medicine, customized diabetic footwear . Delivered Treatment value $2,249,600)
